Y2K Blobjects Fad
Nothing screams y2k cybercore tech and item design than blobjects, all of these items were originally released to the public around the turn of the millennium and it definitely shows.
I love the unique style and how the theme was just make it look round and bulky, I would’ve added interior design but I figured that deserves its own post tbh.
Law & Order SVU "Game" (2006)
Dang, this book is nostalgic. It was released in 2002 (the same year I received that comforter it's currently laying on, incidentally), back when I was nine/ten-years-old and my baby bat journey officially began. Over half of the websites mentioned are Geocities or Angelfire and a bunch of the bands and messageboards it mentions no longer exist.

"i guess people didn't see popular music without social media"
people saw popular music without social media bc social media hadn't killed the world yet. we saw popular music on music videos that were still shown on tv, we had the top 5 at 9 every night on the radio, we had the top 40 countdown on the weekends. when you went into a walmart they had multiple displays out of the top charted albums by genre
they even did special concert showings inside walmart
