deeply self-characteristic thought i just had: roseblings scriptfic about telling a story so well it eats you. telling a story because you have to, because you need it for your own safety, because it will ensure your comfort. fwhip and gem tell the story where they're siblings over and over and over until it's true. they write themselves a new history, and sure, the price is that they'll forget however it was they originally met, lose out on the giddy stages of a new friendship where you just kind of click and the slow unfurling joy of learning someone you will grow to love., but that's okay. that's your sibling now. you've known them forever now. it's always been about the two of you, and even when you were horribly and desperately alone, you had this relationship to cling to.
