moving out into my apartment in LA soon. gonna go secure my place this wednesday and i honestly couldn't be any more excited. all i've been thinking about these past few weeks is the size, the set up, the color scheme - all the little details.
what i'm really excited for though, besides the decorations and other small things, is the change. having a place for myself honestly sounds scary when i look at it face forward - being alone, not having anyone to talk to - but i feel like i'm ready for it. i mean, at one point in my life it's gonna have to happen anyway, right? plus, the fact that i'll be living on my own, waking up in the morning to city noises, making my own pot of coffee, and just being there, doing me, sounds so good.
As he walked his way through the hallway, he greeted me and flashed a wide smile. It was just a simple hi with my name but I was really caught off guard. My heart pounding faster twice the normal beating. I thought I didn't know what to say to him. I thought I'd stutter. But no, I did not. "Oh, hi". Kill me now, I said it incompletely. I said it without his name.
