I'm glad because the complexity of the songs is not as bad as they made it sound hah. At least, it seems like the fact that they restrained the number of notes forced them to explore other types of sounds, rather than the guitar keys theyâve been playing for the last few years for example.
There are at least three songs where vocals are completely absent for the first 45 minutes. Enen definitely sounds better in the studio recording, and The Devil In Me also appears to have a better mixing than it did in the single.

Trivia: When Devin was a young lad he believed it was only a matter of time before aliens would come to take him away. This song is a representation of that notion and eventually became 3 A.M. and Voices in the Fan on the album Ocean Machine: Biomech. The lyrics: âWhoâs the weakest now? Caught up in the wire. Iâm already gone. Whoâs the weakest now?â were later re-used on the song Color Your World on Ziltoid The Omniscient.
