Son of Troutskip and Ottertuft and littermate to Bunnytuft, Rockfreckle, Alpacashade, Juniperbee, and Pigeonpaw.

Auburnkit was born as part of the largest litters the clan has seen in moons. BranchClan strongly values family and having a large clan/community, so they were thrilled and happy to welcome in a new large litter. What they weren't too thrilled about was Auburnkit's appearance. Aside from the white ear and long fur, he was a spitting image of his long deceased grandfather Frozenbeam. Troutskip was especially devastated by this, and felt like it was Fate mocking him. He was distant from Auburn for most of his kithood, which made Auburnkit feel terrible. He felt like he'd done something wrong by simply being born...While Troutskip simply didn't want to risk having a breakdown and hurting his son. Auburnkit was very close with his other father Ottertuft, though.

Things changed when Auburnpaw was apprenticed. Hopestar decided to make Troutskip mentor his son, but agreed that Troutskip was allowed to request a different mentor for Auburnpaw if he was too triggered by it. The two actually grew closer in Auburnpaw's apprenticeship, and formed an actual father-son bond with each other. :D

Auburnpaw and his best friend/crush Thrushpaw found Gillpaw in the tunnels, injured and weak. They brought Gillpaw back to camp and the three of them not only became close friends...But they also all have a crush on each other!! He earned the name Auburnskip, which was actually requested by Troutskip himself. He wanted Auburn to be named after him to make up for how he treated him in kithood. :)
