In another life, Reaver could've been a kickass royal consort to Sparrow. Ties to power, importance, influence, but more importantly, to the one person he's come to understand as an equal. Someone who sees him wholly for what he is, and accepts it. He would actually be able to foster what legacy he's built for himself, now that he's without a pirate empire. I can't say he'd ever be a good father, but I do believe he'd attempt to be an influential figure to Logan and the HoBW if he acknowledged them.
But that's another life. An impossible one.
The Reaver we know and love is far too self-concerned, avoidant, and stubborn to ever let his life be defined by duty. The royal family, parenting, partnership... eugh. His nature, uncontrollable as a storm, could never settle for commitment. Even as we see him in Fable 3, he's hedonistic, cruel, and exploitative ways have seem to increase since Fable 2. Maybe a cushy, predictable life just made him make up for that restlessness in other ways.
He's a beast of tremendous appetite. One so insatiable, not even having someone who could measure up to him was enough to fulfill it.
Not in this life.
