I'm gonna start with:

👎 - what kind of touch is not comfortable or generally unwanted by your character?

and say: Will Price is not nuts about touch of almost any kind. He probably never was—not great experiences in that arena—and he's much rawer at the moment, worse at pretending it doesn't bother him.

The theoretically-innocuous touch that would freak him out the most would be if someone put their arm around his shoulders or, God forbid, touched the small of his back or the back of his neck, especially casually in the middle of a conversation. That would invoke very specific person-in-a-position-of-power-is-hitting-on-me memories and he would go into full fight/flight/flee/freeze/fawn mode.

However.

👍 - what (if any) is a good, safe touch for your character?

Chorus touching him doesn't bother him at all. Will trusts her implicitly—which isn't to say he doesn't think she's dangerous. He knows she is. But she's also the only person he's sure doesn't really... want anything from him. Also, crucially, he's not hiding anything from her, which helps a lot.

It also helps that he recognizes Chorus's touch instantly, because she doesn't feel Like A Person. She's more corporeal for him than for almost anyone else, but she's still not entirely solid, there's a little two much Give to her physical form. It's like touching a very dense cloud. She's also always colder than room temperature. It should be deeply creepy but it's immediately comforting to Will (and only Will).

bay tree :   does your muse seek glory   &   accolades ,   or do they favour a simpler ,   more personal life ?

At the moment Jasper is on. An Epic Quest, actually. But a.) he’s not really expecting to succeed and b.) he’s not interested in accolades if he does. But it’s the quest his Company started him on, and he’s the last one left, so he’s got to keep looking.

I don’t think he’s thought about it much, because it’s not even an option, but he would probably quite like to settle down somewhere, and have a quiet life, and do small magic in some little town somewhere. But he can’t have that, ‘cause he can’t give up on his friends’ quest, so thinking about it would just make him sad.

begonia :   how cautious is your muse ?   are they prone to noticing red flags ,   or paranoid to the point of untrusting most everyone ?   why or why not ?

He’s quite cautious. He’s... sort of on the run from like. A few different governments actually? Like they’re not. Super concerned with finding him, but they Could Definitely Execute Him if they did. So. He’s interested in keeping a low profile, and pretty good at avoiding drawing attention to himself. ...usually.

iris :   if your muse could convey one last message to someone they have lost or left behind ,   what would it be ?
