“No, frankly I’d prefer if you didn’t borrow my notes.”

“You realize I only went to class to play on Saturday, I don’t actually have the notes.”

“You know you can say whatever you want, but if they can’t force me to go to back and sit in this afternoon’s class, neither can you.” Finn mumbled out around his cookie, clearly disinterested in the whole affair. 

"Has anyone by any chance seen my bag? I think I left it near the Quidditch field but I can't find it anymore."

It didn’t surprise him that his father had gotten him something that was pretty much the last thing on Earth that Lucas would have wanted.  His birthdays already sucked enough without the reminder that his father didn’t care about him.  And at any rate, Lucas was sure that he wasn’t going to end the day with this book in his possession.  Sitting by one of the fire pits he tore one of the pages out of the book and threw it in the flames.

“Shit.you startled me. They’re forcing me to stay in bed after I escaped twice to give out some baked goods.”

“Please just -- I don’t want to talk about it right now. I ca -- can’t.” Allegra said, glancing down at her OWL. 

“I’m fine,” Lucas hoarsely got out before going into a pretty intense coughing fit, “So stop pestering me. I’m not going back to that fucking nurse.”
