Both Balan and Lance are known to be quite powerful beings, with their magic, Superpowers, flight abilities etc. And I believe their powers are tied to the Theater of Wonderworld, but their said powers would lessen should they stray outside the Theater. So their magic grows weaker the farther they are from it. Is that why Balan acted so vulnerable in the World of Dreams in your story?

Yes. The good thing about the Night Dimension is that it does have versions of magical properties similar to what exists within Wonderworld, but nothing nearly as strong enough to keep Balan afloat. Without the theater, he cannot exactly draw from his power reserve without being reduced to nothingness.Â
Not to mention, he’s out of his element. The Night Dimension functions differently to Wonderworld. There’s different currents of energies from all around the world feeding into it, it can shift at the slightest change of thought, the world has the potential to absolutely erase itself if it needs it. Not to mention, Balan now has added threats that are not previously orchestrated by him and Lance. Not only does he have Nightmare to worry about, but equally the real dangers of The Night Dimension outside of Nightopia. It’s not a safe place, even if it presents itself to be that way. He knows this subconsciously, seeing as how nature will die if the balance is disturbed. The last thing he needs is for his presence to cause a problem.Â
With all this taken into consideration, it’s easier for Balan to lay low, and not cause much of a fuss. Therefore, no magic until proven he’ll be alright. It’s a self-preservation tactic.Â
After some time trying to get everything together I can say with certainty that we're back and ready to get this show on the road and in the coming week there will be a hell of a lot more information so please share this.
