she doesn't remember how she got him, but she's been with him as long as she can remember, so she assumes he's been with her since she was a baby. (i only know as much about anabel as anabel knows about anabel) he didn't start dogshifting until anabel put a spell on him that let him dogshift, but that wasn't until she started learning magic which was when she was around 10-11 years old. before he could dogshift he was a german shepherd/husky type dog and that's the form he usually takes when resting.
