On this beautiful autumn day, September 28th, in Brooklyn, the Atlantic Antic will bring together thousands of people to Atlantic Avenue to celebrate the longstanding tradition of food, art, music, shopping, festivities, and fun!

The Atlantic Antic is a living tribute to the myriad of heritages that coexist in Brooklyn. Spanning four neighborhoods from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue, the Antic is the largest street festival in New York City! From start to finish, Atlantic Avenue is transformed into a sea of entertainment offering something for everyone.

Let us serenade you this Sunday September 28th at Shelsky's of Brooklyn. It's the weekend of Rosh Shanana as well as Brooklyn's largest annual street fair, Atlantic Antic. Music will start around noon and we'll play a couple sets. And Shelsky has the best gefilte fish this side of the East River. Come celebrate the High Holy days with us.

Join us for the 21ST ANNUAL BUS FESTIVAL on Sunday, September 28! Every year, we close the street to make room for the beloved New York City buses of yesteryear. Over a dozen vintage vehicles will be stationed on Boerum Place between State Street and Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn, free and open to the public from 11 am - 6 pm!

Explore the vintage fleet on the street, and the Museum down underground: party it up at the 40th Annual Atlantic Antic (Brooklyn’s largest street fair!), shop for bus-related gifts and memorabilia, and celebrate the rides we share with friends.

Bring the whole family – admission to the Transit Museum is only $1 per person from 11 am - 5 pm! The Museum is located in a decommissioned subway station on the corner of Boerum Place and Schermerhorn Streets in Downtown Brooklyn. Last admission at 4:30 pm.

THIS YEAR’S SPECIAL GUESTS INCLUDE:

“Betsy” – A Fifth Avenue Coach Company double decker bus, Betsy ran in Manhattan from 1931 until 1953.

Bus 2969 – On the TV show “The Honeymooners,” Jackie Gleason played a New York bus driver and drove a vehicle just like this one along Madison Avenue!

Bus 2185 - Parked on Church Street across from the World Trade Center on September 11th,Bus 2185was badly damaged by falling degree. Rather than scrapping the vehicle, however, MTA New York City Transit restored the bus as a symbol of the city’s resiliency.

Bus 3100 – A Fifth Avenue Coach Company prototype bus, this vehicle debuted in 1958 as one of the first air-conditioned buses nationwide.

WORK VEHICLES ON DISPLAY INCLUDE:

Tunnel Wrecker – Nicknamed “the Monster of the Tunnels,” this unusual emergency truck was built to move disabled vehicles in the Hugh L. Carey and Queens-Midtown Tunnels. Square in shape, it is equipped to handle everything from a compact car to a tractor-trailer.

Tunnel Wash Truck - This vehicle is used to wash the inside walls and ceiling at the Hugh L. Carey and Queens Midtown Tunnels.

Autocar - From 1936 to 1972, this truck served as a mobile testing laboratory for electric power distribution in the Independent Subway (IND) and, later, throughout the subway system.
