That didn't take long... After shutting down last year, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., Atlanta could make Buckhead return with a ground-up project.

 The world-renowned hotel’s reentry into the neighborhood is expected at the recently closed Houston's near Lenox Square. Before then, the Ritz’s Buckhead hotel, boasting more than 500 rooms, had been running for more than three decades at 3434 Peachtree Road NE.

 However, “a return of The Ritz to Buckhead would likely come in the form of a hotel no larger than 250 rooms,” according to the website. 

Talking $: Fulton County values the .93 acre parcel of land at $1,742,200 and the 7,000 square foot building on the property at an additional $949,500 for a combined total of $2,691,700. 

A new normal — combining green space in Atlanta with the blue-lighting of streams and storm water — is taking hold in our city.

The magical combo holds the potential of adding dozens if not hundreds of acres of parks and green space to our “under-parked” city while helping us address our flooding and storm water overflow problems.
