Athlas' journey through Neerfahr's mountains ends in an epic battle against some kind of pseudo-angelic snake thing. I only made him do that because i really wanted to draw those scale/teeth gradients, where it's unclear what's going on. Makes it just ever so slightly spooky enough.

New OC dropped, his name is Athlas and he's a dumbass bastard, as most of my other characters are!
Athlas is what happens after the story ends, when the hero slays the demon king and returns home, changed from experiences and adventures. He was born as a regular human, but got abducted by gods at age 12, thrown into a different world to play the hero and save the realm. He did his best, the best any 12 year old could, found and lost friends, slayed dragons and corrupt kings, and finally won the war he never wanted to be a part of. And after that came another war. Another demon king. Another evil god. Another adventure. When does it all stop? And where do all these damn princesses come from?
Athlas got fed up with playing the hero and just... left. The gods that once blessed his blade now cursed him to be... uh. a super awesome dragon thing? Hell yeah, bro!
He's a professional hero, and has played the role of mysterious knight for years, but actually he's an ice mage. He knows how to manipulate a crowd, has learned some small illusion spells, and can drink his weight in mead.
"What Is Left" - Athlas' journey through the mountains begins with a grim reminder of the futility of it all.
