It fixed the glasses on their face. “Athena its okay I can always just eat later—you don’t have to waste your food on me.”

Athena shook her head, a sigh coming from her.

"Zero, it's not healthy to not eat breakfast. Plus, I have plenty to spare."

Athena gave Zero a side glance, this glance she only gave them when what she said was final and she didn't want to hear any complaints. As the glance was given, the person she had called, who happened to be a wither skeleton apparently, sat down the food and left after Athena thanked them.

"Now the food's already here and you can't not accept it now."

Side note, never run all the way from the snowy comfort to a place that felt like a fire, it told themselves. Running wasn’t the problem, it was running while being two hours late and in hot weather. As much as it loved being here, which definitely had already been a big step considering it’s climate, running here was not something Zero would do again. Part of them wished they at least ate a little something before leaving.

It felt Athena hold their face softly, slightly turning its head to look at them. Its cheeks flushed a little, before it squinted a bit before putting a had up to its own face—earning a groan. Somehow it had forgot its fucking glasses on the way out, giving way to their horrible vision.

“Uh..no I didn’t exactly have time for breakfast..but it’s alright, I usually skip breakfast anyways!”

Athena frowned, letting go of Zero's face.

"That won't do. C'mon, let's get you something to eat."

Athena didn't wait for an answer from the hybrid, as she picked them up and went back down the halls to then dining room. Though, on the way Athena stopped by the room Zero usually stays in when they come over, getting them an extra pair of glasses as they seemed to forget them quite alot.

Anyway, she continued down, getting to the dining room and setting them down before calling the name of someone.

The hybrid was slightly breathing heavily as they regained their breath back. It looked and was completely out of breath as it ran most of the way here, occasionally almost tripping over stray rocks. Being half human had it perks as Zero could technically run faster than the average person but it still couldn’t run for shit. Not to mention it was two hours late—it skipped breakfast and the usual morning greetings it gave to its friends. However running in the nether did not fair well, especially in a place where temperatures were hotter than ideal. It

“I know I’m late, I’m sorry I promise I didn’t forget.”

Athena walked over, stopping in front of Zero and cupped its face into her hands, semi-forcing them to look up at her.

"Are you sure? You're breathing very heavily, and you're super hot."

Athena put one of her hands to their forehead. Usually she would say something like this just to get Zero to stay a little longer, however she wasn't doing that this time. They were genuinely hot, even for her standards.

“Oh fuck—I’m gonna be late!”

It hopped out of its bed quickly to get ready. Unbeknownst to them until now they had overslept into the day which now left them rushing. Scrambling to find something to wear and eat breakfast quickly, it browsed it large wardrobe and sighed. It had promised Athena they would meet with her today and they just couldn’t say no to them. Athena said they wanted them to come to the nether for a surprise—and to bring something. She prompted the idea when Zero had to make the trip all the way out of the nether and back home time and time again, almost like a sleepover it thought. It gathered everything it needed into its bag, petting Punchy and grabbing its chat into the protective cover and headed to the nearest portal.

The portal directly to Athena's castle wasn't very far. Athena had made it because she disliked the fact Zero had to travel so far to get to the castle. The portal made the trip easier, and that's how Athena liked it as she was worried a mob may hurt Zero. She didn't want to see them dying in her arms again. Due to this, she has been keeping a much closer eye on Zero as of late, and that wouldn't be changing.. Until today.

Athena had told Zero to be at her castle around 3pm today, however it was much later than 3pm. It was 5pm, to be exact. She was starting to get worried, almost feeling the need to head out there herself to see if Zero was okay, until she felt them enter the Nether. A sigh of relief came from Athena, as she stood from her throne to the front of her castle, where she would meet up with Zero.

She smoothed out her dress as she walked down the halls of her castle, sending away her wither skeleton guards and blazes. Now getting to the front of the castle, she saw Zero approaching, so she quickened her pace until she was at the entrance of the castle.
