I just can’t kick this empty feeling, or maybe it’s a feeling of being lost, or something’s missing or just plain off. Leaving you, knowing that I’m beginning our routine week apart, feels wrong. Time and time again, no matter how often we do this, it aways feels wrong. I’ll get past it in a day or two, when the kids come home, I begin my workweek and we are overwhelmed with homework, activities, and overscheduling. You and I will send flirty texts amid the chaos of life, and maybe fit in an occasional catch up call. Over time I will feel content. But until I adjust to this emptiness, I will long to be safe in your arms again
