It’s important to note that the deal with and live with definitions are not synonyms of (tratarse de) and (vivir con) but rather it implies the submitting to something (someterse a).
Por ejemplo:
Los senadores se atuvieron a las consecuencias al romper la ley - The senators dealt with the consequences of breaking the law
Los niños malcriados se atendrán al castigo de su padres porque no les hicieron caso. - The bad-mannered children will live with punishment of their parents because they didn’t listen to them.
