23 Pepperoni
23 IS WRITING IN LIBRARY BOOKS AU
Heâs taking on of those stupid general ed classes, some English class that Tony most definitely doesnât have any care for. Which is why he doesnât buy the books, instead he gets the copies on reserve from the library and reads it sitting in one of the plastic chairs. Thereâs highlighting in the books and notes from previous students, so he doesnât feel bad adding his own in, though rather than pointing out the important quotes, he critiques the book.
This isnât even believable, Tony writes the in the margins of one of the romance scenes, Nobody actually talks like this.
On another page, he points out that the science between the whole âtime travelâ aspect of the novel doesnât make any sense either. In the margins of the scene he adds numbers and charts and formulas, all showing how moronic the author is. Who the fuck would name their time travel medical condition chrono-impairment?
He doesnât finish the book before his next class and five hours in the engineering lab can really take a toll on a personâs willingness to read crappy romance novels that his English professor seems to think will be a future âclassicâ right up there with Jane Eyre and Tale of Two Cities. Both of which were awful books in Tonyâs opinion, but nobodyâs really asking him anyways.
When he somehow finds himself back in the library, the books still there, and as he flips through to find the page he left off on he notices a new set of markings in the book. A passionate red penned edition now sits before his eyes. He quickly flips to the page with her formula scrawled out on it, to find that thereâs a reply along the bottom of the page in that same red pen.
Flowery handwriting reads back to him that based on the universe set up, the term would be plausible, particularly critiquing the clothing disappearing element as an organic versus non-organic matter debate.
In dark lettering he writes back, So if he was wearing a skin suit it wouldnât disappear?
And the next day, the red pen has replied with Last time I checked we werenât reading Silence of the Lambs.
When he shows up the next week for that English class, he has a quick glance around the room for anybody writing with a red pen, but his search fails. There are about thirty students, twenty-three of which are ladies, as he assumed the handwriting had belonged to, but none of them took their notes with a red pen.
So on an impulse while the professor is discussing the reading, Tony shoots his hand up into the air, speaking without waiting to be called on. âI just have a hard time believing the book,â he says, âI mean, chrono-impairment, thatâs bullshit. The science doesnât even add up.â
Before the professor can even try to explain another hand shoots up into the air, front row, French manicure, with strawberry blonde hair, who whips around in her seat to glare at Tony. Reciting an argument that he had already had on the pages of a school library book.
Heâs never seen somebody so attractive and angry all at the same time, and a voice in the back of his head says he probably shouldnât be that turned on by all of this.
âHey, Red,â Tony says, cutting off her tirade and interrupting the class, âwhy donât we debate this over a cup of coffee. You could educate me on the inner workings of fictional universes.â
âNot on your life, Stark.â
âWait, how do you know my name?â
She doesnât answer, just rolls her eyes and turns back to the front of the classroom as their professor attempts to take charge once more. Â
Though when he opens the book of the next weekâs readings and thereâs a phone number scrawled in the margins along with a note that they should probably stop vandalizing school property, Tony canât help himself from announcing his victory to the entire library.Â

I think the problem is that Elsaâs pretty novel (for obvious reasons) while Anna is seen as the more-standard bubbly type. But I totally agree that there should be more Anna. A skewed fandom is not a happy fandom.

One Sentence Chapter Reviews (or so)
Connections Chapter 17 by aszecsei
Vaguely interesting, fragmented prose, consistently misspelling Lockhart as âLockheartâ, who is now a pedophile (which is a plot twist I despise) -- overall, a useless chapter.
Harry Potter and the Faces of Fate Chapter 25 by tommorusso
I still havenât yet read a useful inclusion of a snake familiar in any fanfic, and this is no exception, especially with the betrayal of Hagridâs friendship for the snake --and man, who misspells Hagridâs name? Harry Potter and the Faces of Fate Chapter 26 by tommorusso The idea of Harry as a prankster is nearly always terrible, so Iâm suspicious -- and having frikkinâ LEE JORDAN DOING THE FIDELIUS as a third or fourth year is ridiculous (no offense to the guy, but even Dumbledore would be a stretch at that age).
Wand and Shield Chapter 27 by Mortaâs Priest
Not as much action, a lot of talk and plot progression, with a cute Robert Downey Jr. meta reference (although the pop culture references in general get a bit much) -- still the best HP/Marvel crossover out there.
