"We just got a big bunch of those, uh--- minion toys in. You wanna give me ten bucks and have a shot at winning one of ‘em?” It was two dollars for three plays, really. But seeing as the person he’s talking to is wearing a coveted Astroland uniform, he might as well try his best to pocket some extra cash. Something’s giving him the feeling he’s shit out of luck, though.

“i mean, one of my resolutions is to not drink anymore soda, which, like, sucks, but i’m just so pumped to work on myself, you know? i just love the whole ‘new start’ idea. do you have any? uh-- resolutions?”

“Uck, does this stuff ever come off?” Questioned and irritated ginger, one who currently had cotton candy coating the entire front of her work shirt. First week in concessions and she makes a huge mess only a couple days in. At least it was confined to her shirt rather than the entire room. Drew refrained from cussing, even though she was in the backlot where there were no guests, she never knew what boss was lurking. “Fiddle sticks.” She amended, opting for something g rated.

Astroland always seemed to be a bit slower than usual right after Christmas. People were spending time with their families, riding their new bikes, or holding out for the big New Years Eve fireworks show. The silence was almost sickening, which said a lot considering Imogen typically spent her shift dreaming of silence as kids threw fits over not winning a giant teddy bear, but as the hours slowly ticked by she found herself growing restless.
