“Jinwoo, is this salt or sugar?” 

The man in question whipped his head around from where he was reading the recipe. Recipe for choc chip cookies. Not entirely festive, no, but they wanted to start off simple. 

“Myungjun, what does the label say?” “I can’t read the handwriting, Jin. Who wrote this? Heck, I swear it says shortbread, but that’s just me—“ 

Jinwoo strides over n spins the jar around to read the label, giving Myungjun a quick, questioning glance. “...why does it say shortbread? Did Sanha do this?” The pair sigh a little before laughing to themselves. The jar may of said shortbread, sure, but it was the sugar they needed.

Myungjun settled down, sitting on the counter and watching as Jinwoo stirred the cookie batter, sneaking a few small finger swipes of it into his mouth. The two of them set spoonfuls of the dough onto the tray, putting it into the oven and setting the timer. 20 minutes. Then, they set to work with preparing the icing and decorations. 

Jinwoo brought out the icing sugar while Myungjun found the sprinkles, setting them down next to Jinwoo’s hand before climbing back onto the counter. While Jinwoo mumbled something about scissors and walked off, MJ took it upon himself to open the packet of icing sugar himself. 

Bad idea.

The first puff of the powder went into his face, causing him to cough, dropping the whole packet into his lap, spilling it on not only himself, but the counter and the floor. Jinwoo turned around and couldn’t help the bubbly laughter that soon followed his puppy smile. 

The sound of his boyfriend’s laughter brought Myungjun’s head upwards, his look of shock melting into one of embarrassed joy. He laughed along with Jinwoo, how stupid the situation was went from a little funny to hilarious. If you asked the two, they’d blame the icing sugar. 

Everyone was gathered around, Eunwoo and Jinwoo handing out the presents,  Minhyuk and Sanha eagerly opening said presents, MJ and Bin singing along horribly to Mariah Carey, and all six nibbling on small gingerbread snacks and hot coco. Jinwoo and Myungjun shared a look before both disappearing into the kitchen, only to return with a tray of choc chip cookies decorated with mint green and red icing, Christmas themed sprinkles and who could forget the icing sugar?

The group of four remaining in the lounge let out a cheer, the couple standing up joined in and settled back down again. 

Jinwoo was still picking out dried icing sugar from Myungjun’s hair the next day.
