One summer's end, Luca is about to get on the train to Genova. He kisses Alberto goodbye on the cheek after a romantically tense summer and makes to board quickly.

But Alberto chases after him, sweeps him around and gives him a passionate kiss as the train whistle sounds. Alberto runs off the train as he yells that he couldn't wait another year.

When Stiles stepped off the train onto the platform, he tried to be subtle about his awe in his surroundings. The station was bustling, women in fancy dresses, parasols on their arms, men in hats and suits, a few with canes swinging as they ran to their train car. Stiles had never seen so much activity in one place.

Despite his excitement, he tried to blend in with the busy crowd. The last thing he needed was to stick out like a sore thumb and have someone pick-pocket him or to take advantage of him and his obvious naivety. He was here to find an investor willing to help him with his idea.

As Luca and Giulia reach their last year of schooling, they have a large project they must present in order to pass. In support, both of their friends and family come to watch.

Luca is over the moon that Alberto is finally with him in Genova and that he can introduce him to all of his Genova friends.

The day of the presentation comes and Alberto is decked out in face paint and screaming for Luca and Giulia as if he's watching a football match. He's informed he can't yell during the presentations but still waves and smiles for them the whole time.

Rather than buying a Vespa outright, like after winning the Porto Rosso cup, Alberto steadily buys all of the best parts he can to build one from scratch. He thinks it will be that much more personal. He waits for Luca to come back from his last year of school to show him and have Luca attach the last part.
