Beware deaf fox
To prevent foxes from taking our chooks we installed a device called a 'fox watch'. This device claims that it emits a very high frequency noise that is supposed to deter foxes because it irritates their ears. Naturally I was dubious as to whether this thing actually worked or not. Unfortunately humans cannot hear the noise because it is higher than our aural range and so I read the box to gleen more information. I found the disclaimer very amusing...

Well thats wonderful.... I can just imagine the customer service call: "Hello this is fox watch Australia how may I be of service?" "Yes hello, I bought a fox watch from you people and it didnt work! The foxes still took my chickens!" "Oh I'm sorry to hear that ma'am, I can assure you the fox watch worked, you must have a deaf fox on your hands"Â
