Closed Vampire!AU starter for @astralcircuit
The legends had warned everyone not to travel alone after the sun had set. A creature, they warned, that preyed on lonely wanderers who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some of these victims had died, while many of them were left with most of the blood drained from their body, on the verge of death, and with no memory of what had happened to them. Many times the victims and their crime scenes were clean, with only a single pair of bite marks on their necks left behind as proof that they were BITTEN.
No one had yet to catch the creature in the act, or to even find out who had been attacking people in the first place, but still she prowled, always on the hunt. Even if she were caught, Amélie would be able to make a grand escape. There was a reason she was still around after all these years. Perhaps it was appropriate that she was out searching for food on the very same date that she had awakened.
”Excuse me, ma’am, can I buy you a drink?”
The sudden question causes Amélie to turn and face whoever had asked her such a question and found herself staring at a male who had encroached upon her table. She stares at him, emotionless, watching his face until a smile creeps upon glossed lips. He was just a human, but his scent didn’t pull her in as she wanted. The vampire was looking for a delicious morsel, one that had a perfect smell and was ripe for the picking.
”No.” She stated simply, head tilting to the side as brunette locks shifted over her shoulder. “If you don’t mind, I’m waiting for someone. Go away.” Commanding him with a soft edge to her voice, just enough to turn him away, she waved her hand at him and looked among the crowd in the bar. Surely she could find someone tasty here.
