i just wrote a real cute, soft, mushy givenson scene for and somehow, through it all, i stand and i don't even care if it's a lil off brand.
sometimes it's fun to let 'em be soft idiots who are in love.

chapter 17: and somehow, through it all, I stand
summary:
"Y'gonna tell me what's on your mind, or am I gonna have to try and guess?" Tim asks and Raylan lets out a sigh. "It don't feel right, me leavin'." "We've been over this," Tim sighs, "I'm fine." "It's only been two months, Tim," Raylan pushes himself up so he can look Tim in the face, "there's still a bunch of shit we haven't figured out how you can --" "I have an occupational therapist, Raylan," Tim gives him a smile and reaches out to slide his knuckle along Raylan's jaw, "and if I fall, or if I can't do something, then I'm gonna need to figure it out. I fell all the time in Germany, so by comparison I'm doing great."
In this chapter we have soft boyz being mushy, plus special shout out to @beebobeebo for supplying me with a lil line for Tim regarding where he used to store his negative thoughts and feelings hehehe.
chapter 16: and somehow, through it all, i stand.
summary:
"Art --" "I wasn't born yesterday, Raylan. The look on your face when you found out about what happened just confirmed my suspicions." Art breathes out another cloud of smoke. "What the hell he sees in you is still a mystery to me, but I ain't here to judge." Raylan could deny it. He could tell Art that he's reading into something that just isn't there, but what's the point? "It just sort of happened...and then it got...complicated." Raylan sighs. "Because you went and got Winona pregnant and then decided to play vigilante against a Detroit mob boss?" Art snorts. "Look, Tim's a grown ass man and he can make his own decisions, but if you're gonna hurt him..." Art sees Tim as a son. He's giving Raylan the talk, and Raylan feels himself smiling at that.
chapter 14: and somehow, through it all, I stand
summary:
"What about you? What's new?" "Well, I haven't regrown a leg, unfortunately." Tim says dryly before he takes a sip of coffee. "Uh, not a whole lot, I guess. PT is starting to ramp up a bit so we can get my knee ready for a prosthetic. Having less dizzy spells." He traces the lip of his mug and shifts a bit in his chair before he adds, "Y'know, I haven't had a drink since this all happened?" "Wow." Rachel raises her eyebrows. "On purpose?" "No. Drinking would probably make this a lot more tolerable, but...with the meds and with just how tired I've been...I just...haven't." He gives a small shrug. "Probably a good thing, huh?" "Tim Gutterson, optimist." Rachel laughs and he smiles.
chapter 13: and somehow, through it all, I stand
summary:
"Were you ever gonna tell me this?" "What? Me and Winona? I mean, yeah, but I figured you have bigger shit to worry about than mine and Winona's shit." Raylan says and he stands from the couch to join Willa on the floor. "Well, it's kinda my shit if you guys aren't getting back together because of me." Tim points out and Raylan lets out a sigh. "Thought this might make you happy, but I'm sensing some anger here, Gutterson." "Just a bit confused," Tim clarifies, "because yeah, we talked and admitted...I guess we admitted we have feelings, but you still seemed like you wanted to be with her." "I told her I love you." Raylan looks up at Tim and gives him a smile before he adds, "she told me it was about time I realized it." "Did everybody know this except us?" Tim asks with a breathy chuckle. "What do we do about it?"
We're coming up on what I have pre-written, so updates might come a bit slower. In saying that, we'll be nearing the end of this one soon!

chapter 10: and somehow, through it all, I stand
summary:
Tim wakes up in a bit of a fog and decides he must've drank that bottle of bourbon in his cabinet before bed. He's stiff and part of him doesn't want to get out of the bed, but he knows he needs some water to clear the fog from his mind. So he sits up, feeling a familiar pull in his ribs before he swings his legs over the edge of the bed and stands up. And then immediately falls on his face.
chapter 9: and somehow, through it all, I stand
summary:
"You should be in Florida." "We've been over this." Raylan says and he watches as Tim traces his finger over the rim of his coffee mug. "Tim, you don't need to apologize. I want to be here, okay?" He's watching Tim intently because Tim won't lift his eyes from the mug. He can't meet Raylan's eyes right now because he's sitting in a goddamn wheelchair in his kitchen trying not to fucking cry and it's not because he's in pain or anything, it's because Raylan's here. He's not supposed to be here.
I'm going away for the weekend, so I figured I'd try to get this chapter up today and maybe chapter 10 tomorrow if I'm feeling motivated.
And somehow, through it all, I stand -- chapter 2.
Summary:
"Raylan," Art's standing suddenly and he looks pale, "You're gonna want to sit down." He motions for the chair across from him and Raylan doesn't like the sound of that at all. As he gets closer, it doesn't appear that Rachel is injured beyond a few scratches on her face, but the fact that she's clearly changed her clothes leaves him feeling uneasy. "What's --" "It's Tim."
