Your birthday was in a week and Silver still had no idea what to get you. He doesn’t want to just get you anything, he wants it to mean something. I mean, what kind of boyfriend would he be if he got you a meaningless gift? He would ask father but the man wasn’t one to give gifts, rather he would take birthday photos every year as well as COOK… Fathers cooking was unique to say the least.

“Come Silver! I’ve made a special dinner just for your birthday!” oh god. Maybe he should just pretend to be asleep. “Silver? Wake up my dear, it’s time for dinner.” His father gently shook him awake. Ah shoot, now he HAS to go eat whatever peculiar ‘meal’ father has cooked up. The boy gets up from his bed and goes to sit at the small dining table. On said table lies a questionable looking…soup? Silver isn’t really sure what he was looking at. “Go on! Eat up!” Lilia nudged the bowl of mystery liquid closer to the boy. It tastes… really bad, like REALLY bad. He doesn’t think he can finish this. At least his father cares..?

Silver decides to go ask for help from some of your friends. He seeks out Cater first, as he doesn’t have any club activities today and would therefore be in his dorm. Stepping into the Heartslabyul mirror, he immediately sets out to find Cater. He finds the man in the common room scrolling on his phone.

“Excuse me Cater, may I speak with you about something? It’s rather time sensitive and important.” Cater turns to look at the silver haired man standing next to the couch.  “Oh! Hey there Silver! You look #stressed, what’s up?” The ginger man and his strange lingo… hopefully he can help. “I require some help picking out a gift for [Name]...I fear I really have no idea what to get him. I want it to mean something and not just be something that I bought with little to no thought.” “Hmm you want it to mean something? Why not make a heartfelt gift! Something like a scrapbook with pictures of the two of you! I’m sure he would appreciate anything you got him though lol you’re like all he talks about.” “Maybe… I just don’t want to ruin this, I shall go ask around some more before making my decision.”

Silver walks off to seek out the next person on his list, Epel Felmier of Pomefiore. Hopefully the boy wasn’t being hounded by Rook and Vil right now. Silver wanders for a bit before deciding to sit down and think to himself. Does he really need help from your friends to get you a gift? He has no idea what to get you and it’s getting frustrating. Maybe he should take Cater’s advice and make you something…He needs to get a second and third opinion first.

‘Time to stop dilly-dallying and find Epel.’ It’s almost as if the gods heard him or something because the lavender haired boy quite literally crashes right into him. Oh my, well at least he found Epel…!

 “Awe damn it didn’t mean to get all up in yer space like that, I gotta go, Vil’l be on mah ass otherwise..” Epel’s frenzied muttering makes his accent slip out a bit. The boy is still practically on top of Silver but is actively getting up as he continues on about Vil. Ah, he’s trying to escape Etiquette lessons with Vil right now, perhaps giving some advice could be his excuse as to why he was skipping out. “Actually, I could give you an excuse? I need some ideas on what to get [Name] for his birthday. I have one idea so far, but I want to hear from three of his friends first before I make any decisions. I want it to actually have meaning to it rather than being just a gift.” “Oh mah god yer-you’re my savior I swear. Maybe you could get him a new camera? I remember he mentioned it to Vil recently during one of their club meetings I think? He helps Vil with recording the school musicals and such and his old camera is starting to get some wear and tear.” “Now, I gotta get to Vil before he tears me a new one…I’ll already be in enough trouble as is, especially since he caught me yellin’ out mah frustrations about him in the creepy basement.” Epel runs off towards the mirror chamber, right to his (hypothetical) doom.

A camera huh…that could possibly work.

Two Days Later

It’s been two days since Silver spoke to Cater and Epel. He got two good ideas from them and now he has to go find Vil to get his opinion. Where he was, Silver didn’t know, so he decided to start with the film research club room. Luckily he was right on the money with that one..however you were also there. Uh oh!

“Vil? Could I speak with you in the hallway? Alone? It’s rather time sensitive and important” You and Vil turn to look at Silver before you greet him and walk off backstage. “What did you need? I’m on a rather tight schedule I’m afraid. One of those clumsy potatoes sprained their ankle whilst blocking a choreography so now I have to work around that and possibly recast them” Vil sighs looking out one of the nearby windows. “I need an idea on what to get [Name] for his birthday, I haven’t the faintest idea I’m afraid. I’ve gotten two ideas from some of his other friends so far but I’m just not sure. I want it to truly mean something to him and not just be a gift.” “Ah I see, so this is why you wanted to speak with me alone. Maybe some handmade pins? I know he enjoys handmade gifts and he was mentioning wanting to decorate his bag and school jacket with some. I know he will appreciate anything you give him however, so do with that what you will” Vil walks back into his club room and shuts the door behind him. Decisions decisions…

Silver decides to get you all three. He made the scrapbook himself with blood,sweat, and tears (and some glitter…) there’s also a bunch of empty pages for you to add your own pictures as well. He got one of the newer models of a camera you were eyeing up as well, one that takes amazing pictures as well as good quality videos. And lastly the pins. He bought a button press just for this. He cut out some pictures of your favorite characters and bands and made them himself. He also made a pin out of a bottle cap from your favorite soda.

Your Birthday

Today is the day. Your birthday. You had decided to stay the night in Diasomnia so you could spend the morning with Silver, he had been very…secretive for the past week. It was honestly kind of worrying. He has even woken up before you for once which was even stranger. He hands you three wrapped boxes, each one a different size. You decide to open the smallest box first, inside was a bunch of handmade pins, all your favorite things. You gasp in surprise. How cute!! Perfect for your bag and jacket. The next box is more square and medium sized, inside was a camera. The camera you have been looking at for a while but didn’t have the money saved up for. Oh my god what the fuck?? You didn’t even bring up wanting a new camera to him. You pick up the biggest box, it was long and kind of flat, wonder what’s inside? There’s a folded piece of paper on top so you decide to read that first. It was a handmade birthday card that was honestly more like a letter than anything. It was very heartfelt and you can tell that a lot of love went into making it. Ah shit, you’re tearing up now. He really really loves you :C. With shaking hands you grab the other item out of the box. The title reads “our adventure book” inside is a collection of pictures of the two of you as well as you with your friends. FUCK you’re a sucker for sentimental gifts, at this rate you might actually start crying.
