Clint smiled tiredly, leaning back against the small mound of pillows he’d made on her bed, blinking hard to keep his eyes open. “Alright really. How’s the hair look? Is the longer look dumb?”

“I know a lot of people look down on leaders if they aren’t schooled or well-read or what have you,” she said.  “Tal is so bloody smart. And he’s a survivor. All the books in the world can’t make you that. If I were trapped anywhere or stranded, there is no one I’d rather have at my back than him.”

“He may be a bit of a shit at times...but I can always count on him to be up front with me.  I mean, well, like if I ask him his opinion, he won’t sugarcoat it. I appreciate that.  And he’s funny,” she giggled.  “Even when perhaps he shouldn’t be.  And he dislikes dealing with nobility just as much as I do but he has far better escape plans.”
