Ok, today I got hired for my first job. I haven't had a part time job or anything during the summer cause I had cadets, and I went to cadet camp, where you get paid $60 a week..

Anyways I applied to a bunch of grocery shops, and the lot of it. Then one of the university professors send out a email looking for a student to hire. I send him one back, go in the next day.

He tells me to sit down, asks what I plan on doing, I tell him biochemistry and immunology. (And the job I applied for was helping out with the herbarium, nothing to do with my major.) I told him why I was interested, then he gives me the papers, and next thing you knows, well I got a job, specifically my first job.

And its funny, cause most kids manage to get their first jobs at grocery stores. And on my resume I have cadets, 3 volunteer activities, and the newspaper, and a couple awards. Yet I cant get a job in a grocery store.

Then all I do is go and talk to a professor then I get a job.
