He shrugged at the other’s musings, refusing the hand and standing up on his own after a moment. He gave a sigh as he dusted himself off, before finally managing to get his voice to work. “….sn’t matter. It’s no…. ke anyo…… uld notice.”
Well, perhaps his voice wasn’t quite working yet, but his mumbled nihilistic comment perhaps was better off unheard by the other people there- just who were they anyways?
“I’m fine now. I’ve had worse, lets just get out of here.” On the scale of things the attack had actually been fairly minor, but he knew enough to tell that he wasn’t going to be sleeping tonight- at least the insomnia could be good for something, and that was keeping away the nightmares.
Rata raised an eyebrow at the other.. “I’m sure someone would notice.” There was enough there for him to pick up on. You get good at picking up broken words when you’re stuck with someone who stutters in almost every sentence.
“We could... go for icecream to help?” Lyra questioned, hopefully to help the other boy. Rata picked up Lyra
“Pick a flavor on the way there. Out of these woods is first priority.” Rata knew that Lyra would drag out convo if you didn’t quicken her pace of thing that should happen first.
