anyone else use the terms kin/kintype regardless of what other alterhuman terms would be more applicable to them? (this is going to get kinda personal for a second, i don't normally open up much about myself on here so consider this a rarity haha) i have a myriad of different relationships with my different 'types; some of which could easily be more likened to being otherhearted or otherlink (<- especially the case with some of my fiction types). but the truth is that i just don't see the point in differentiating in most cases? honestly nowadays i'm liking calling myself generally alterhuman more and more.
that's one of the reasons i love the term constelic, even if i don't advertise it as what i am very often. "constel" is a term with so little prescribed definition that all of my types fit easily under it! and a constellation is exactly how i see my wide variety of types! it's great. but yeah i grew up with the terms otherkin and kin and etc etc etc so i typically just use them when there's no reason to specify. perhaps one day i will sort myself out a little list of what kind of type each of mine are, but right now that's not super important to me. much like my hoard of specific queer/mogai labels that i mostly just simplify into calling myself "queer" when talking to others. ya feel?
