who knew that joffrey baratheon would become like my second favourite asoiaf character. incredible. i love his bratty ass
as a mindless cersei stan i would be elated to see sansa stark on the throne, don’t ask me how it would happen but if she ends up being a contender then i’ll support her. that girl is politically suave, but she also inspires love in people because she was broken and as good as lowborn once too. she understands the logistics of running a seat—the boring bits, rationing and stockpiling and armouring etc. she consults with those around her. like littlefinger and cersei, her biggest influences and mentors, sansa is always in the mind of her adversaries and anticipating their movements. it’s invaluable. i don’t think she’s selfish at all. she’s playing the game of thrones on behalf of those who can’t, because she still cares about what happens to the north, because she still dares to look a woman calling herself queen dead in the face with no fear at all of reprimand, and ask her what her plans are for her region which has historically been culturally different from the south. she never swore an oath to any queen, she’s right to distrust daenerys: from the northern perspective this is just another aegon the conqueror who’s suddenly showed up and proclaimed herself a ruler
can i just gush about the nuances of sansa’s first period scene please? beyond the primordial fright of a young girl experiencing menstruation for the first time—which everyone with a vagina can relate to, looking down on bloodied legs that look more like a waterfall and forcibly sign you to a fate of this monthly ordeal—there’s the even more (!) frightening overarching realisation that sansa must now begin bearing children to the boy that murdered her father and began a war against her family. that she has no choice or control over even her body now.
the moment she sees the blood in her sheets her instinct is to scramble and HIDE IT! HIDE IT! hide it from the lannisters, i mustn’t sire a single thing by them, i don’t want to, which becomes a stronger terror than what’s meant to be a normal transition into womanhood. even in moments of suffering sansa considers the political ramifications of anything she does.
sophie turner acts this brilliantly in her gestures by the way, i think it’s one of her best moments.
cersei was the last person on the iron throne so did she win? i feel like we won

me watching people who don’t understand jaime lannister write meta about him
it’s a crime against humanity that cersei and sansa never had one last scene
