No it’s not rude I def understand your question! The main character isn’t interested in guys, she just hasn’t made peace with that part of her identity which is important. We learn that the main character has been dating this guy since she was 13 and now she’s 18, so he’s practically all she knows and she’s comfortable w him even if she doesn’t necessarily like him. As the story progresses, we figure out that the main character does a lot of things for acceptance even if it’s not what she enjoys or who she is.

Yes unfortunately for right now the main character is dating a man :( the fic is mostly about self exploration, comphet and a lot of other stuff if that makes sense. It’s a lesbian and sapphic story, the plot just hasn’t moved into that yet for the sake of building characters and the storyline!
