Haven was a saint, and Liv told her so as she hugged the other girl following their chat after dance practice. The “problem” as Mum had been calling it had started several days ago, and none of the usual tricks had worked. Naturally, Liv wasn’t about to scare the sweet natured witch she danced with by telling her that there had been some unusual activity of a living variety in the greenhouse, so posed the question of if a message could possibly be posted on the ParaNet for her. 

Something Liv would have done herself if she’d had a computer that she thought she wouldn’t kill by trying. If she’d had a computer at all. Or a login. But, this was why one had friends! 

Haven hugged her back back, and reassured Liv that the message asking for help would be posted, and as soon as she heard something in reply she’d be sure to phone in and let her know. Usually, rodent trouble was not a thing that was experienced, but the signs that had been left had been.... different. Larger than your typical mouse or rat problem. 

Goddess, the message itself sounded corny as hell, and Liv was honestly afraid that it would be regarded as a joke. But just maybe, the message would reach the right person. 

“I have a friend who believes they have an R.O.U.S problem, and is seeking helping in clearing this. Please contact me privately if you, or someone you know is willing and able to assist. -- HomeIsYourHaven”

Irritating. Extremely irritating.

There is NO reason a slacking, worthless, pathetic wizard such as that should be able to defeat as many powerful people as he has.

There was a small explosion that filled the room with smoke and knocked Crystal over. She smacked her head on the table she’d shoved to the side so she could set out her summoning circle...a circle set with books and audiotapes anchoring the cardinal points. A circle with...a very tall, dark haired, gangly, confused looking man in a coat and holding a stick.

“Oh. My. Gosh.” She breathed, staring up at him in surprise. “Did. That. Really. Work?” She squeed. She literally squeed as she leapt to her feet and hurried over to the circle, being careful not to break it.
