“I– uhm–” Mitaka coughed, blushing from the unexpected kiss. It was an intrusion to his privacy, but with good intention, at least. “I don’t recall any recent incidents, no, but thank you for your sentiments. I’ll… keep them in mind.”

The lieutenant raises an eyebrow, not quiet understanding the confusion, before rocking on his heels and clearing his throat. “Well, I suppose the best way to answer that is to sound it out; “Mih-tah-kha, I believe— if that helps.”

“Goodness me, what is all that about? And we already have a girl; her name is Phasma and she is our captain. Who else would we need?”-M

“By the stars— what was that racket? Oh,” Mitaka pauses to blush profusely, “General Hux and Commander Ren like me? Well, I would hope as much; I certainly strive to do my duties well. Could you have possibly meant, though…” His voice trails off.

The general consensus is a tentative “no.” Leave him to the Resistance scum.

“Oh, well, that’s very sweet of you.” Mitaka shuffles his feet, honored but still flustered.

Mitaka blushes deeply, several possibilities running through his mind. “T-the First Order is always looking for new officers if you are able. Although recruitment is handled almost exclusively by General Hux.”
