Update, I may have started sketching a little for NESA.
I'm thinking out loud about @asknesa. Not necessary for you to read if you don't want. :p
Sooooo today during lunch, I looked up a bunch of photos of NASA vehicles and buildings. Plus watched some reeeeally neat YouTube videos produced by NASA of their facility (Like this 360 video, or this 360 video,Ā or this āsorta-boring-but-not-boring-to-meā video).
As for NESA, as long as I still have this positive drive in me, mayyybe I'll keep updating it regularly... but I can't put my focus on both that and do semi-daily @askbelgianwaffle updates at the same time. That's too much.
So I might take maybe a whole month to focus on just one blog, or find a rhythm where I can crank out and queue updates for both blogs to post less frequently. NESA can only work if I have a clear idea of where I want the story to go, and that alone requires a lot of attention for me for story direction (and lots help from my friends for references ^^;).
I have a small arc I'm doing now that should continue for a bit, and soon will eventually get to answering questions (ask box is still open, btw).
Another āthinking out loudā post. This time delving into a small aspect of @asknesaās story (and is huge spoilers for potential stuff down the line, so read at your own discretion.).
Whenever I get epiphaniesĀ for how to continue NESAās story, I write it down somewhere. I figured I could probably share with you guys my thoughts on where Iād like the story to continue to, since I canāt yet seem to put pen to paper/tablet and draw it out right away. :s
Maybe I should write out the entire story via written text and eventually transfer it to drawings at some point? Or maybe keep doing things like this to hopefully push me to continue with the blog...?
Retina:Ā ā... you lied to her.ā Duke:Ā ā... I prefer the termĀ āalternative facts.āā Retina:Ā āHow could you...? She _(blah blap)__ and __(blep bloop)_. She believed in you... in this company... what would she think?!ā Duke:Ā āLook, letās just keep this between us, okay? Iām not doing this because I enjoy it. __(insert more lines here)__
New character traits: -Duke constantly withholds secrets and sometimes lies. -Retina becomes the nosyĀ āoutsiderā who knows everything but is conflicted to keep secrets.
Next update focuses on a press conference talking about the recent ship crash on the moon.
Further update covers how financial backers backed away from funding the company as a result of the failed mission, and Duke needing to find new backers.
Dezik and Retina get some attention from askers, and show off their workspaces (WIP of Retinaās workspace).
Side-note/digression: I should probably mention that NESA is a story and coffee driven ask blog... meaning its backbone is the story arc, and the blood is my usual high amounts of coffee consumed before working on any aspects of it.
