HOW WAS THE DATE??? What’s it like dating someone??? Dating a poet? Being a romantic thespian? Love???
How is it???? Tell me everything!!!!
Hahaha, you sound pretty excited anon.
I’d say the date went pretty well! It was nice being away from Welton for a bit with Todd. The cold weather made his face look a little flushed and rosy—it was adorable.
Since it was our first date, we’re still figuring things out. I don’t really know if we can call our status dating yet…but so far, it’s like my world has gotten brighter. Little things can mean a lot when they’re given to you from someone you love.
Todd’s poeticism is one of the reasons I fell for him, actually. The way he crafts his poems makes it seem like he’s speaking another language entirely, and it leaves me in awe. I really need to step up my game if I plan on writing like him someday.
Being a thespian has definitely opened up my eyes to the world of romance in theatre. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m enjoying looking into the classics. Every now and then I like to dramatically read a quote to Todd. It’s usually something like this:
“I, beyond all limit of what else i’ th’ world, do love, prize, honor you.”
-Ferdinand, The Tempest (act 3, scene 1)
neil, what happened after the play?
…I guess I owe some sort of explanation, don’t I?
At first, I felt invincible, like nothing could bring me down. Despite seeing my father arrive at the theater during the final act, I left with the other poets back to the school dorms. I talked with them and heard their praise, I gave Todd back what he gifted me.
Then my father, who had been looking for me since the play ended, came to the dorms and took me home. I hated having to leave my friends, but I couldn’t tell my father no, not when he was already furious at my behavior.
When we got home, my father scolded me said he was going to pull me out of Welton. I wanted to tell him how much acting meant to me, but I froze up and couldn’t say anything against him. His word was final, and he and my mother went to bed.
…I’ll spare some details, but…let’s just say I didn’t go to bed. I’m still here, but…barely.
Once of my friend on discord said your name remind them of perry the platynus
Well we’re both Perry’s, aren’t we? He’s a lot cooler than I am, though! I mean, he’s a secret agent and everything.
What’s the plan for the date with Todd?
I believe we talked about going for drinks at a coffee shop and browsing a bookstore. Anything else you’d like to add, @sweaty-toothedpoet? We could do more than just that.

"Hey there, Neil! I know we don't talk much, but I just wanted to share something. I didn't know how to reach you, so I hope this can suffice for now, and I hope the address is correct. I'm on holidays with my family right now. A few days ago, we went to Drottningholm Palace for a guided tour, a big royal palace here in Stockholm. Being tourists, we explored everywhere in awe, but what really caught my eyes was the Palace Theatre. Dipped in gold and opulence, I just couldn't shake the feeling that this golden theatre held a resemblance to the stage at Henley Hall's own theatre when you decided to grace us with your performance as 'Puck' in that production. The whole troupe was commendable too, of course. I just had to get you a postcard, theatre is your thing, isn't it? I remember you galloping with joy down the hallway when you got that part. Well, here's to hoping you can grace the stage again, soon. Happy Holidays!" - Words scribbled in ink on the back of a postcard of the Drottningholm Palace Theatre, sent by Stick.
*while looking at the postcard*
Woah, yeah, The Palace Theater does remind me of Henley Hall—it’s much bigger, though, obviously. I’d give just about anything to perform on a stage like that someday…I might sound sentimental, but I genuinely think I’d cry if I got the chance.
I’m going to have to thank Stick for this!
Neil. If acting/writing failed, would you go into medicine? If so which feild.
Honestly, I’d be pretty crushed if I couldn’t follow through with acting. The way I feel about it, it’s that or nothing at all.
But, if I have to keep my head down and go into medicine like my father wants, then I might go into Oncology. Something about it seems interesting.
Seize the day? More like sneeze the day!
Here’s a manul
I…don’t really know what to say to this.
All I can think of is a day full of sneezing—that wouldn’t be fun.
