“You can imagine that the transition from being able to hold and grab things to just… not having any arms or legs was incredibly frustrating. There was a bit of a steep learning curve– I regained my dexterity through practicing battling with our trainer. Battling is usually a lot more instinctual and visceral than it is calculated, so not having the extra time to THINK about how I needed to move actually made things come more naturally.”
“Though in hindsight, I’m sure watching me try to acclimate was pretty entertaining! I evolved years ago, so it’s hard to imagine not being able to control my own body, now.”
