(On a note sorry for the huge delay cause of Christmas break and a bit of a writing block but here is the next chapter)

Alb and Vix stayed close by and in the shadows to avoid any detection by the guards that occasionally roamed the hallways. Fortunately for them it was night and dark in the prison so they were able to stay well hidden. Vix lingered on how Alb was able to get out of that room and save them both from the interrogation room.

Vix: Alb….may I ask you something?

Alb: Ya sure thing what is it?

Vix: How were you able to escape those chains so easily and….kill that man.

Alb sighed some as he looked over his at Vix

Alb: I been in many prison in my time in the Legion. I been in it since the beginning so this is nothing new to me.

Vix: Ya but...how did you get all that darkness….it just appeared

Alb: That…..ill have to explain later right now we need to get out.

Vix nodded as they continued to the end of the hallway where the stairs were until Alb put his arm out in front of Vix to stop her.

Vix: What?

Alb: Someone's coming…..

Vix: I don’t hear anyone

Alb: Shhhh!

Footsteps came closer as Wolf reached for his knife but he soon realized it was there

Alb: Gahh fuzzballs they took my bloody knife.

Vix: Here let me handle him.

Vix creeped up to the corner as the man came just around the corner and Vix punched him in the side sending him into the wall hard and knocking the man out cold. Alb’s jaw dropped as he watched her stand and giggle.

Vix: Not bad for a lady hu?

Alb whistled as his tail somewhat wagged

Alb: Dang Vix that was nuts now I know now not to make you mad

Vix just giggled then her ears stood and went back to hiding as a loud male voice was just down the hall

???: Eh everything alright down there?.....Gah eh I need back up down here now!

Vix and Alb looked at each other and nodded as they came out of the shadows standing back to back as they became surrounded.

Alb: Vix….I think it's about time you learn how I got out of the cell..

Vix would notice tentacle like arms come out of the shadows as the guards would looked scared. Vix looked over her shoulder as she noticed a evil looking smirk on Alb’s face. The tentacles started knocking the guards out one by one as Alb stood there watching till the last guard was down.

Vix: Uhhhh how did you-

Alb: I’ll explain later we need to get out of here now

Alb grabbed Vix’s arm and ran for the exit as he busted it down and looked out and noticed they were not in the mountain anymore but in valley above the main base that was an imprisonment.

Alb: Ok soooo we need to find an exit…

Vix: Well obviously

Alb: Well ya but it won’t be easy so come on

Vix and Alb were surrounded at this point by multiple enemy soldiers. Alb was aiming his pistol in one direction as Vix got out of Alb’s grasp and watch his back.

Vix: So what’s the plan….other than beat them down

Alb: Well….if we get close enough we can beat them hand to hand...but where we stand now we need to make a hole for ourselves and get some space between us and them into the thicker parts of the forest..

Vix: Sounds like a plan to me

Vix made a run for a group and before they could even fire she was able to punch them each aside knocking them out. Alb on the other hand fired at the remaining groups making sure they didn’t target Vix.

Vix: Come on! I made a hole!

Alb quickly ran towards Vix as she grabbed his arm and ran with him. Alb kept up pretty well with her as they weaved through the forest as gun fire whizzed by them hitting the trees. They soon got to a point where all they could hear were the yelling of the soldiers trying to find them.

Vix: I-I think we lost them

Alb: Ya I think so...come on i see a cave nearby might as well hide there and rest….i think it be better to move by nightfall anyways

Vix nodded in agreement as she followed him into the cave. The mouth of the cave was quite large and as they traveled deeper in it became bigger showing small pools of water and rock formations. Vix took a seat on a rock near by a water pool as Alb watched towards the mouth of the cave.

Vix: Eh Alb.

Alb: Ya? Whatcha need?

Vix: I been meaning to ask….other than your military life...how was your family

Alb folded his ears back some just at the thought of it

Alb: Well let's just say a lot happened….

Vix: Like?

Alb: Well to put it into a nutshell…..my father died in war which I saw first hand, I went to jail a lot, forced to join the military and treated like crap

Vix: Oh…..sorry to hear

Alb: Ya but the past is the past I don’t try to let it get to my head

Vix was quiet for a bit

Vix: You were lonely a lot when your father died weren't you?

Alb: Ya...very

Vix: I very much understand how you feel..but I don’t wanna go to in depth

Alb: That’s alright I understand

Vix smiled softly as she got her arm around Alb’s neck and gave him a hard nuggy as the both laughed.

Vix: You know you're not such a bad wolf Alb you're pretty cool and kinda cute

Vix giggled some just trying to be a tease

Alb: Thanks Vix your pretty um…..cute yourself if I may say but overall you're a cool woman

Vix hugged his head tight and kissed his cheek nicely. Alb became red in the face as he rubbed his cheek and Vix giggled. They talked more about each other till around nightfall.

Alb: Alright Vix let's go get this mission done. I’m sure this will be a lot easier in the dark
