((I'm done with school for about a month now! Oh my gosh, I've been neglecting my blog and I'm sooooo very sorry. However... Uhh... I'm actually going to Mexico for a week now over my Xmas break. Gotta hang out with my family, I'm sure you can understand! And if not for family, it's an all-inclusive Mexican resort, how can I pass up something like that??? Anyway, I'll be back for the New Year and Loogie will be back in business as well! Even if it's only just sketches (I've also got other projects I've wanted that don't relate to Loogie. Well, maybe one sort of does... But shhh). Also, I just wanted to say thank you to all the new followers! You're all amazing.))

((How did you come up with the idea of Willow and what do you think of everyone's different takes on the Mario creatures?))
((I'm in a Skype chat room with like, 8(?) other mario ask blogs and it just came up in there. Somebody brought up the idea of Loogie having a ghost girlfriend (a GHOULfriend, haha), I thought it was a cute idea so I went with it and designed Willow.
I think it's great that everyone is coming up with versions of characters they enjoy. I don't particularly like all the designs coming out, but hey, "to each their own," right? Also, there's so many new ask blogs showing up now that I can't help but feel that maybe the community is becoming a little over-saturated? I'm having a hard time keeping up. I don't know. I haven't had my ask blog that long so maybe I'm not one to talk...))

((Well, I originally started the blog because I'm friends with askladyrosalina in real life and it looked like a lot of fun! I guess the "look" I go for with Loogie stemmed from the Mario & Luigi series (the ones on the handheld systems) and everything about his personality usually just comes up when chatting with the other Mario ask blogs on Skype or with askladyrosalina or ask-a-wario while at school. I play Luigi in EVERY game he's available, and I just have certain aspects about him in my head that I find to be funny/cute, and since I'm running an ask blog, I can implement them into my own character.))

◉ It's just genetics! People's hair on their heads don't always match their hair in other places. It's not uncommon. ◉
((However, if you want a more technical response, this same question was actually answered by the creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto:
"This goes into [a] technical explanation of the number of colors that you could use in the early days. Mario was originally red, blue, white, and black. Maybe it was around the time of Super Mario Bros. 3 that we changed his hair to a different color. What really happened was that, when drawing the character, it became much easier to draw the mustache as an extension of the outline of his nose. Using that same color of black, we drew the mustache. But then we felt bad for Mario that he didn't have a distinct hair color, so we gave him brown hair."
