How do you determine which loners that join were from the Rift or not? Do you also have a generator that helps you decide when a cat is taken?

Basically, the loner thing is determined with a rng to decide which gen they are, it's weighted though so it's more likely they're from the outside than from the Rift.
I don't have a generator per se about how and who gets got by Takers. It's largely based on -was the death unexplainable? -was the death animal based? -did the cat die while alone? -what gen are they?
And then I do a percentage on how likely it was a Taker. And sometimes it's just because i have a gut feeling on "this makes sense"
Epilogue π€π
π€: Epi has known about being aromantic for almost his entire adult life. He was in a relationship before he met Crane, but that partner couldn't wrap their head around how he wasn't lovey-dovey. And while he doesn't necessarily mind romantic acts, they aren't things he seeks out. It was relatively easy for him to just say "I guess I don't feel those feelings" and move on
π: He's not hiding it by any means, but he's only ever actually told Crane that he specifically don't get romantic feelings, and that's because they're together and it was important to him that Crane knew what being with him ment. He doesn't think it's anyone else's business what he likes or not, so he's not loud about it

π€: Mint realised she was trans when she was about 5-ish moons. It was a huge relief as well as a great fear. Like, great I now understand myself more, but also oooh god that's probably not gonna go well...
π©Ά: She didn't exactly have the words for it even as she moved to Chasingclan. She just took the chance to change her name and call herself a girl. She is trans, but she straight up doesn't know it's called that. No-one in Chasingclan does basically.
π: Sadly that's a little why she went to Chasingclan, to the cursed lands, because she didn't wanna face her family and experience the hurt of rejection, so she just left. Chasingclan is seen as a pretty bad place to go, it's kinda light exile to a lot of cats. So Mint basically seeked out freedom but also kinda gave herself a punishment.
In Chasingclan she's out and proud, never felt wrong there, especially after meeting Sootsnow who's enby. And then more and more cats found themselves? Yeah, she's happy here, she's not alone here.
