"Yeah...well, they beat me up pretty bad." Jake replied weakly.

Jake tilted his head looking a little confused at the question before smiling softly at the other, “I sure hope so, or I may have to call the hospital tomorrow and let them know I can’t come into work because I don’t exist.” Jake joked back, holding both her hands delicately as he appreciated what she was saying. “Am I really that much of a dreamboat?”

"Heh, this is a nice surprise. I'll have to make it up to you beautiful."

"Want any company, gorgeous?" He couldn't help the slight smirk on his lips as he lingered in the doorway resting his back against the doorframe, letting his eyes do all the talking as they wandered over the beauty in front of him.

“Oh, honey. You’re too kind you really are, although I’m grateful that I got the chance to meet you because ever since then I’ve really felt alive. You really have shown me a world that I never knew existed.”

Jake had been visiting regularly and usually he would know better than to fall asleep in a incredibly uncomfortable chair at a hospital but Jake was generally worried so the amount of time he spent sat in the chair seemed to pass him by and before he knew it, his body was compact into this small visiting chair with his limbs hanging over the side.

"Yup.." Jake mumbled with a mouth half full, it was the only thing he had managed to sneak in on his very short break. His diet had taken a hint lately with how many emergency appointments they had been having at the hospital
