Today I am thankful for people who call me Lori. There are not many. They are the few. They are the proud. They are the ones who make me holler, scream, pull my hair and cry. They are the ones who make me giggle, laugh, sing ridiculous things and still cry. I did not ask for them and they did not ask for me. We're together by divine decree; thrown together with guarantees and no receipts. They are my family. The only ones who may call me Lori (so don't try this at home). Today I am grateful for them! Today begins AskFast2012. For a month I will refrain from asking God for anything. I will instead be thankful and celebrate what I have. Today I am thankful for the one person on this entire planet who can call me mom; my son Asa Adams. He's funny, witty, quirky charming and talented. And that's just his hair! He looms over me to hug me, and I love it. I never imagined being a mommy, but I'm glad God did. Around my 8th month of pregnancy I prayed and asked God for three specific things regarding Asa: 1. That he would be strong-willed and not easily susceptible to peer pressure. 2. That he would be unique and march to the beat of a different drummer. 3. That he would be handsome, but NOT have his father's nose. Well, if you know Asa you know God answers prayers! And I'm so thankful today! My theme song for today is "If I Could" by Regina Belle.
