That kid’s really attached to Giuseppe...   Paul was so scared about something, I honestly didn’t know how to calm him down.  So I just spent a few days reassuring him when he wasn’t in Panda’s hands.

Facts:

Illuso never kept his name the same, constantly giving people new names unless he noticed a member that survived him was apart of the group he was joining.  Those who had heard stories of him only knew of a randagio (Italian for stray animal) that did what he did.

There’s quite a number of veterans who know Illuso personally though, having survived multiple encounters.  In current times, these people either ended up as hits for La Squadra out of coincidence, remained bitter, or in the case of two later hired Illuso for spy work.

His quiltsuits came into his possession when he was 19 - as an anniversary gift, Illuso got to pick out his own gift and Risotto wouldn’t complain.  One trip, some verbal foxing, and some possible mayhem later, Illuso got a seamstress to make six full quilted suits with vests.  Even if the now wealthy seamstress got paid Illuso’s entire bank account (gathered from stealing from the gangs he joined), she never forgave Passione and soon left Italy to move to France.

Until then, Illuso’s outfits were predominantly sweaters, jeans, hoodies... usually very warm clothing, as he considered the Mirror World - where he spent most of his time - to be “freezing”.  He also wore a lot of reds during this time.

About every name he has, he has a story about the time he went by as that name.  However, he dislikes talking about his past names and may lie if asked about one.

Scars - 

Due to the necromancy process used to bring him back to life not translating scars, Illuso today does not have any significant scars from his younger times, excusing his hands.  Even though he’s more talented with handling his shards, he still has hurt himself with his tricks.

During his time in La Squadra, the scar on his cheek was hidden with make-up.  No one noticed the other scars too terribly.

Around his ankles he was once bound with barbed wire so he couldn’t run away.  He survived the fruitless encounter but still remembers the barbed wire being a pain in the ass to untangle.  The barbed wire scar higher up his right leg was from a gambit, where he faked injury to be taken in by a much kinder gang.  He regrets that experience immensely because he tied it way too high.
