As I said earlier to celebrate getting 300 subscribers I was going to do a Q&A video and am now taking questions. I also plugged a couple Analysts (The Ponyville Critic and Ask a Sane Brony respectively) and some artists (Infinity's Daughter, Grass Hope, and Burning Donut). The video is unscripted so I am not on tip-top form but i'm not terrible. Anyway ask any questions you want and I will do my best to answer them in a video.
Go Forth And Be Awesome
A video of me saying stuff I've said before, but now in the manner of affirmative action!
TL;DW:
There's people out there doing awesome stuff to clean up the dirty side of the fandom that others have caused and neglected.
But I think it's important that we act in manners of more than just maintenance â the fandom is powered by creative output, and I encourage everyone to go out there are be creative.
It's a well known lament for people to say "I can't do anything, I'm not creative, I don't know how."
And to them I say â Have a go. Pick up an instrument, pick up a pencil, pick up some blutack, and make something.
It'll probably be awful. But everyone's first creation is. What matters is that you enjoy making it and having a go â then you can enjoy practising and repeating, and then you'll find you're making awesome stuff.
And then share it. And when you see awesome stuff that others have done, share that.
Lead by example, get creative!
Nethesem Drones - Episode One...
Why the name? Well I'm aware I have a flat, monotonous voice and that me going off on a rant will invariably go over the 15min marker.
So I figured I'd acknowledge that ^^;
Anyway, here's a test video with me talking about Jan Animations, and ideas on where I think the fandom is going.
Bear in mind that this is unscripted... I'm not unhappy with it, else I wouldn't have posted it, but when I came to actually recording ideas I hadn't written down and thought about, I found it was harder than it looked!
Anyway... let me know if you think this works or not, and if it does, I'll develop this further.
Short Thoughts - Stop assuming the worst
â (Last month I learnedâŚ) When some one lashes out at Bronies, theyâre not always blanket profiling everyone. They mean the âbadâ bronies, but because we donât have a word for those guys, and thereâs no tone-of-voice in text, itâs easy to assume they mean you as well.
If you lash back at them, you might find yourself slipping into the very profile they were attacking.
Sometimes they are blanket profiling everyone, but if we want to build bridges, we should start by giving the benefit of the doubt.

Short Thoughts - Rant vs. Complaint
â Before reacting to something someone said, take a moment to think about if theyâre having a rant, or genuinely complaining. Rants are just hot air someone needs to get off their chest- theyâre often not thought out, and not very sincere.
Complaints are when someone has considered their words and mean every one of them. Thatâs the time when you should give an equally considered response.
Short Thoughts - Fame is an Illusion
âShort Thoughtsâ are a thing I'm going to experiment with, a way I can kick out ideas I've had or have heard of, without having to pad it out into an entire post.
â Fame, and Infamy, are both an illusion. Theyâre still normal people. Keep that in mind before you say âThey should expect / be used to thisâ.
