Sorry this took a while. Here. Also, please excuse the mistakes in here x.x
Monday
Nico splashed around in the water. Percy and Jason had dared him to jump in after curfew. He was hesitant at first, but he decided to do it after he fell in victim of their taunts.
“Hey darlin’,” Will whisper-shouted. They both had to try and keep quiet or else the Harpies would find them. “This isn’t a good idea. You’ll get sick.”
“I’ll be fine, Will,” Nico sighed as he rolled his eyes. “Honestly; and you tell me that I need to have fun,”
The Son of Apollo frowned playfully. “Fine,” he ‘angrily’ pouted, “If you get sick, then I have to take care of you until you get better!”
“Whatever, Solace,”
Tuesday
“I told you not to go swimming yesterday,” Will smugly said as he fed his best friend some chicken-soup. Nico just glared at him and angrily bite down on the spoon. “Wow, easy there Cerberus,” he laughed. “No need to get mad. I’m just saying: You should really listen to the Doctor’s Ord—“
“Alright already. I get it. Doctor’s orders right; Nico wrong. Now shut up.” The dark haired boy snapped.
The golden haired male rolled his eyes at him and pressed his forehead against his. “Wh-What in Zeus’ name are you doing?!” Nico stuttered; his cheeks turning crimson as he did.
“Checking your temperature, of course,” he explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Will pulled back before he continued. “You’re hot.”
The younger boy flushed harder at his statement. How could someone so medically advanced be so fucking dense?
Nico sighed and grabbed the soup from Will’s hands, almost spilling it in the process. “I don’t need you to baby me. I just have a cold, that a-… That’s ah-… Ah-choo!” he sneezed. His doctor laughed and planted a small kiss on his forehead.
“Whatever you say, death boy.”
Wednesday
Will held his hand close and kissed it. By now, Nico’s face resembled a tomato.
It was a dark, quiet night. The air was cool, the stars were shining and their small room was lit by a small sun and moon-shaped lamp bought by Will when he found out about Nico’s fear of the dark. The light gave off a light red glow.
“W-Will…” Nico moaned quietly. His eyes fluttered shut as he out the breath he never realized he was holding.
“Does it feel good, Nico?” the blonde gently asked. The younger boy just glared in response.
“Shut up and don’t stop.” He demanded, giving the healer’s hand a small, angry squeeze before once again returning into his pleasured state. “G-Gods, Will, h-how are you so good at this?”
Will let go of his hands for a moment making Nico whine in protest. He stopped singing his Hymn to Apollo and smiled softly. “I’ve been doing this for years, darlin’. Of course I’m experienced.”
Thursday
Will growled in annoyance and lay down his cards. “I seriously do not understand this game, Nico.” He muttered bitterly as Nico beat him for the tenth time that day. “And why did they make Kronos so OP?”
Nico laughed and rolled his eyes. He gathered all the cards together and shuffled them to start a new game. “You obviously just suck at this game.”
The older boy glanced over at him and smiled slightly. Nico rarely laughed, but when he did, it seemed to send shivers down Will’s back. “I think I should shuffle the cards. Every time you do it, I end up with the weak Gods like Dionysus.”
The dark-haired boy smirked and gained an evil-like glint in his eye. “How unfortunate of you. The Fates must really just favour me.”
He stared at him with his lips slightly parted in shock. The damned boy was cheating. Cheating!
The Son of Apollo leant back in his chair and glared at the trolling bastard in front of him. The corner of his lips upturned slightly when he thought of a brilliant way to get revenge.
“I don’t understand why you love this game so much,” Will dramatically sighed as he averted his eyes. “Dungeons and Dragons are so much better.”
Nico stopped in his tracks and stared numbly at his hands. He slowly lifted his head to stare murderously at Will.
He recognised this look. It was the same look he gave Bryce. He’s never really seen it before, but Reyna had described it to him before. For some reason, she felt the need to give Will the ‘Hurt Nico and I’ll slit your throat’ talk with him; which was understandable considering that the boy needed good friends that won’t leave or hurt him.
“What did you say, Solace?”
“Nothin’, darlin’,”
He stared nervously at the cover of the DVD. It pictured a green-ish lady with eyes rolled back, messed up hair, blood trickling down her chin and decomposing skin. “You sure do have a weird fetish, Neeks,” he muttered quietly. Nico just rolled his eyes a hurried him to set up the movie.
Once the movie was rolling, Will took his place next to the younger demigod and sent him a small side-smile. “You know, if you get scared, you don’t have to hesitate about hugging me and burying your face in the crook of my neck,” he cooed romantically earning a gagging action from Nico.
They both turned their attentions to the screen. “We’ll see about that,” the dark-haired male muttered under his breath.
A blood curdling scream emitted from the speakers. Will jerk violently; some popcorn fell from the bowl. Nico chuckled slightly. “You know, if you get scared, you don’t have to hesitate about hugging me and burying your face in the crook of my neck,”
Will took his offer almost instantly and pounced on the boy. The Son of Hades, not expecting him to take his mockery seriously. A scowl formed on his mouth as he gingerly patted the soft, beautiful, blonde hair tickling his chin slightly.
After a while, the older teen pulled back to stare seriously into Nico’s dark brown eyes. “Nico, you’re temperature is a lot hotter than when you first got your cold. Are you feeling okay?”
The Ghost King arched an eyebrow and smiled. “I’m fine, Will.”
Friday
Sunlight started to stretch across the camp. Birds woke and started to sweetly sing their song. Sky blue eyes fluttered open. His lips twitched into a small smile as he stroked the midnight-black hair, tangled hair resting against his chest. The two of them had fallen asleep after Will refused to leave Nico’s side after the horror movie (it was totally for medical reasons and so not because he was too scared to sleep alone.)
He yawned and rubbed his eyes with his free hand. He looked down at the sleepy boy and smiled. He gently touched his pale forehead.
“Kayla! Austin! Hurry here!” Will suddenly shouted, clutching the boy closer.
The pair bursts through the doors. By the looks of things, they too have been there all night looking after wounded patients. “What’s wrong?” they both asked in unison.
“It’s Nico.” He said as the Son of Hades stirred his arms. “He’s gotten worse.”
Saturday
It was horrible. 26 hours have passed since Nico’s cold has gotten worse. Will spent 26 hours of watching Nico sneezing, crying and falling in and out of unconsciousness. The Head Councillor of Apollo did everything he could. He tried using Ambrosia, normal human meds, some weird unicorn stuff from the Romans, but nothing worked.
Other healers tried to assist the head doctor, but even with a whole team, Nico’s illness didn’t go away.
It was about 9:27p.m when Will almost broke down. He felt so helpless.
The two were alone in Nico’s dimly lit room. The blonde was holding his hand once more and sang his father’s hymn once more… Nothing.
His eyes glanced over to the poor boy. His lips were slightly parted; his raven-black fringe stuff to his forehead.
“Gods, Nico, what do I do?” he muttered hopelessly. He leaned forward and pressed his forehead against his. “You better not die on me, di Angelo. I haven’t even got to tell you that…” his voice slowly trailed away. Will’s eyes closed tightly as he swallowed down his sorrows. “That… I love you, death boy,”
He pressed his lips against the slightly parted ones. He was hesitant at first, but then newfound confidence took over him. He kissed the boy with all the affection he’s been holding back ever since he saw him leading the army of the dead in Manhattan.
Will froze once he felt lips kissing back.
They both pulled away after their giant make-out session. The two demigods stared at each other before bursting into giggling fits.
“Wow,” Will sighed lovingly. “Turns out Nico di Angelo can laugh cutely,”
The Son of Hades rolled his eyes and averted his eyes slightly. “Shut up, sunshine,”
Sunday
“So explain to me again how you just suddenly got and cold and you just suddenly got cured from yours?” Kayla asked as she fed Will his medicine.
A red blush ran over Nico’s cheeks as he scowled at the floor. Will just laughed quietly and shrugged. “The Fates are just weird,”
Meanwhile, in Olympus, Aphrodite smiled warmly at the two boys canoodling in the Hades’ Cabin. Athena watched with her in utter confusion.
“Why did you feel the need to curse Nico? Couldn’t you just have controlled him instead of going through all of this trouble?” she asked curiously.
The Goddess of Love laughed brilliantly and sent a wink over to the Goddess of Wisdom. “But watching them fall in love by themselves was more fun, don’t you agree?”
“I don’t understand you.” She sighed, rolling her eyes.
Aphrodite just nodded gracefully and turned her attention back to her favourite, homosexual couple.
