I want more XD Dude goes through HELL and honestly I just think he deserves a softer ending after all he's gone through.

(Also I want more Domestic!YueYuan. I loved how cute the small domestic scenes of them together were from Yuan reading in Yue's office or them just hanging out. It was just REALLY adorable XD)

Okay first off thank you so much lol!! I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed it, and very glad I could provide some Yue Qingyuan appreciation for you in these trying times! Our boy deserves some love!!

To answer your question; yes I do intend to continue Eye of the Beholder! I actually have part of the first draft of the sequel written up, and have plans for a couple little bonus works for it (such as the first time YueYuan Dual Cultivate proper!)

At the moment though I've been taking a break from this kind of larger writing; Eye of the Beholder itself took a lot out of me, and I've been wanting to give some of my smaller projects a bit of TLC; I plan to start working on Eye of the Beholder's sequel more intensely in the Fall, and hopefully I'll be able to get the first draft written up within a couple months, then it'll be a matter of finding a Beta to get it polished...

To make a long story short; yes I will be continuing Eye of the Beholder, but it'll probably be a while before any continuations are ready to come out!

I imagine post-cannon there will be a variety of lineages branching off from the basic Worker Drone population, at least one of which is going to be partially Disassembler. Without even considering whether Uzi will end up passing along strands of the Absolute Solver (and wouldn't that make for a wild and notable sub-type of drone), I firmly believe N's unique programming as a Disassembler would contribute massively to any children they had; I can even see them developing nanites and as a result gaining Disassembly Drone features and appearances. So that's certainly one code-line that won't look a damn thing like anything JCJ designed!

Also what do you think the Drones are doing on a larger scale after the end of the show?

The answer to the first question is entirely dependent on how angsty I'm feeling, how much Jessa I want to inject into the story (which is usually a lot I won't lie), and how deeply I want to dig my fingers into J as a whole.

Honestly J really fascinates me as a character; in the basic context of the show itself she's fairly one-note, though if one takes the time to more deeply examine her and her circumstances we can find some incredible potential! And examining her relationship to Tessa and assigning anything beyond basic friendship between them really gives her some depth; honestly that's part of why I really like the ship between them, because it turns J from a fairly one note villain to one of the most complex and tragic characters in the entire show! But I won't turn this into a ramble about that lol!

Best case scenario (cannon style): after wallowing outside the colony for a good few months, possibly longer, she ends up getting soft-adopted into the colony and finds herself a job so she can start terrorizing a bunch of subordinates again. I can actually picture her ending up working under Khan as part of the WDF; either as head of security or an overseer on larger construction projects, and lowkey being really good at her job. Her early time with the colony would be rough no doubt, she's certainly not a very sociable drone and the environment isn't exactly ideal for a Disassembler. I can also imagine her slowly acclimating though; finding fulfillment in a surprisingly pleasant job and learning how to adjust to a new environment (learning all the secret passageways and the importance of knowing when to get up and go out). I could also picture her contributing to the colony ultimately moving themselves above ground; the workers are far more comfortable building out and up, now that someone's patrolling the skies.

Worst case scenario: she spends her days alone on the fridges of the planet, listless and unwilling to reconnect to her old squad mates and unwilling to make new connections, until eventually she just... Doesn't go back inside when the sun rises. I'm not a huge fan of heavy angst personally though so I wouldn't really take this concept anywhere if I wanted to write for her.

In the end I'd say I picture something between the two; J ultimately acclimating to life in the colony, albeit begrudgingly, and finding some sort of fulfillment for herself there but always carrying with her a lingering grief for Tessa, regardless of the nature of their relationship.
