Some part in him becoming more and more saddened by the loss of his followers, but incapable of bringing himself to seek out any new ones. You stumbling right into his immortal life brings a breath of fresh air (as well as some tasty offerings) so of course he'd be glad to hear out your pleas. Perhaps a little too much so, a bit unbecoming for a god in fact... maybe his strangely subservient attitude is what gives you the confidence to make a move on him.

He's a deity, supposed to be powerful and regal, a master of his element. Yet he craves the attention of the fleeting mortals. There's something so special about their temporary lives being dedicated to the eternity something like him.
