He just stared at the lines of chalk on the ground. It wasn’t something he drew, Roy had done it and asked him about it. Pride tilted his head and looked up at the other before shaking his head no. How could he have done this if he didn’t even know what it was? He’d never seen them in the few books he had gotten a hold of, or back home that he could recall. They weren’t shapes that he’d seen in his head and drawn before either.

Pride flinched and pulled away, he didn’t like how that sounded. It was nice coming outside and getting to talk to one of the humans who was nice to him, one who might not be dangerous. But he was still confused by the other, frequently. Some times he didn’t know what Roy was talking about, or why he what he was trying to do. He glanced up at the man, “……don’t understand…….nothing happened to me.” he couldn’t think of anything recently that had occurred. Especially not anything that would make the one in front of him question such a thing.

He watched Roy lean in, stayed still as the other’s lips gently pressed up to his for a short span of time, and watched as the other moved back again and watched. It was a strange kind of touch, it didn’t hurt, he hadn’t seen it before. His head stayed tilted, trying to figure out what it was aside from a way to gain his attention.

No matter how she wanted to say 'I should leave' she wasn't able to voice it, making excuses to stay a few more minutes. Now, she couldn't imagine leaving. Just staying in his strong embrace was enough for her to forget the world for only a few more hours. There wasn't any to-do lists in her head, no responsibilities, only him.
