Anyone has a tip when discussing fatphobia how to deal with "you're all just too sensitive, grow up!" It annoys me so much and I get it way too often.
Well, for starters. To tell someone that theyâre too sensitive is condescending. Its usually a way people try and invalidate otherâs feelings or shut them up on a topic. I find a lot of times shitty people say shitty things and when others call them out for their shittiness they tell them theyâre âtoo sensitiveâ There is nothing wrong with being sensitive. You feeling passionate on a topic such a fatphobia is important to you. Â
Iâm a sassy queer. I dont like when people push me around. [ also, im hella sensitive ] So, here are some suggestions on what i might say. âIf being sensitive means that Iâm more aware of how shitty society treats a certain group of people, then yea, im hella sensitive. âÂ
âIâm being perfectly reasonable. Youâre the one thats a problem. âÂ
âIâm may be sensitive, but at least Iâm not an asshole.âÂ
Anyone else have suggestions for our friend?Â
