[ Bad guys having a tragic past or something that made them evil. What happened to having a well fleshed out character who simply has motivations that do not meet accepted societal moral standards? Why do they have to have been ‘spoiled’ in their youth, or mentally ill? Give me characters who are given the title evil because they simply see the world in a different way, or have different motivations. Give me villains who wreak havoc because it’s fucking fun, and not because their dad didn’t give them a hug that one time after cricket practice. ]
