Well, I don't really celebrate any holidays, but I got a couple of gifts.
I got $100 from my mom, and a scarf and a puzzle and a really cute tiny Beatles tin lunchbox (it's like 1.5" wide).
it was nice to be home for family, though. Now that I live so far away from my college and considering I don't have a car, visiting hasn't really become an option anymore.
But yeah, my break's been good so far. :)

This is probably the best thing about this storytelling format.
See, the story follows IB through a pretty slow-paced life. Going about telling the "core" story through faithful transcription would take forever.
Insert a semi-sentient camera that can edit out the boring stuff, and it can go much faster.
-IB stares at camera.

IB isn't the most physically expressive, so that's why I force focus on her face a lot. The trick is not doing it too often and getting in the way of telling the story. Infrequent updates, after all.
So, in keeping with the fine tradition of PLANNING GRANDER THAN I CAN EXECUTE I ended up making the inkblot reboot (round 2, still incomplete) full of lengthy dialogue. I draw too slow to do dialogue based story telling on that scale, so I need a different mechanic.
It's a blog, so it could be pretty feasible to have "real time" be IB sitting in a room, talking to the audience, and sharing the highlights of the day. Since I'm using a mildly sentient camera, it would be possible for those highlights to actually be played back while IB narrates.
