The more he scrambled to catch it, the more the book slipped from his hands, which was quite concerning as he was more than a fairly decent Keeper for the Ravenclaw team.
Ears warm and face ablaze, he finally slammed both palms onto either side of the covers and shakily yelped Felix’s name, his friend no doubt disturbed from his studies from the opposite end of their room. Andrew turned and cautiously held out the offending book, hands still tightly pressed together on each end, oddly evocative of a praying motion, something that Andrew felt very much like doing at this moment.*
Felix, *He uttered again, voice breaking into a squeak.* I am fairly certain I did not borrow this from the library. C-could you please return it to @ask-scribner for me? Please?
Felix blinked owlishly, his quill pausing mid-stroke as the sound of Andrew's distressed shriek pierced the peace of their dormitory.
The first thing he registered was the crimson shade of his friend's whole face and ears. The second was the book he held like a cursed object, as though it might spring open and start moaning.
"Oh, Merlin," the young wizard murmured under his breath, barely suppressing a laugh as he stood and padded over, his expression caught somewhere between sympathy and delight.
"…The Lusty Librarian Maiden?" Felix read aloud with a tilt of his head, eyeing the lurid cover art with horrified fascination and second-hand embarrassment. Curiosity getting the better of him, he flipped the book open to a random page - and instantly regretted it.

Felix read, then immediately snapped the book shut with an audible whumph. "Ah," he cleared his throat.
"You're lucky it wasn't Volume II," he teased lightly, a grin spreading across his face. "Or Volume III. That's the one with the - well. Never mind."
Tucking the novel under one arm, Felix gave his friend a gentle pat on the head. "Don’t worry. I'll return it. Discreetly. But I make no promises if she demands an explanation."
As Felix turned to go, the door already creaking open, he threw a last grin over his shoulder. "Let me know if you ever do want to borrow Volume II, though."
